A fun filled family evening where you can enjoy music by ‘The Oh’s’.
‘The Oh’s’ – Ken and Biiinny are back together again bringing a classic, eclectic music collection, hand picked by the two of them.
‘The Oh’s’ cover classic rock (think Fleetwood Mac, Pretenders, Joan Armatrading, ) to classic country (think Dixie Chicks, Trisha Yearwood, Roy Orbison). Exceptional Jazz and Blues (think Norah Jones, Bonnie Raitt, Dusty Springfield), and Contemporary Australian (think Missy Higgins, Kasey Chambers, Paul Kelly). Plus Classic 80’s (Eurogliders, Cyndi Lauper, Pat Benatar) the immeasurable Amy Winehouse, and a lot more.
This is a great way to kick off the start of the weekend, we will also have a performance by Peter Mace to warm you up for the Bush Poets Breakfast on the Sunday morning. Our festival will be officially opened and the winner of the window display, colouring completion and the Pam Power award announced.

Come along to the bush poets breakfast on Sunday morning. This walk up bush poets competition with a prize pool of $500! The breakfast with be MC by special guest and judge by Australian champion poet Carol Heuchan.
Enjoy a hearty breakfast while listening to the very entertaining bush poets for a wonderful Sunday morning experience.
Tickets are $5.00 each and will be available on the morning at the door. Plus $5.00 for breakfast.

Hanging of the Quilts – your chance to win a beautiful quilt!
Local Merriwa quilter Lenore Taylor has once again been busy preparing the annual Festival of the Fleeces ‘Hanging of the Quilts’ and on Saturday 8 June at the Festival you can try your luck in the Hanging of the Quilts raffle for your chance to win a beautiful hand crafted quilt made by some of the region’s best quilters. Tickets will be on sale at the ‘Hanging of the Quilts’ from 9.30am and the raffle will be drawn at 4pm. During the day the talents from local quilters will be displayed at the Merriwa School of Arts. This event is proudly sponsored by Gordon Martin Bulk Hauling & Lenore’s Quilting.
